Shiela and I are at Moncton we will be stopping here until spring we will continue our journey April or May depending on the weather

The first night at Woodstock we camped by the river had robins singing for us in the morning
the second night we stayed at a Motel that was provided for us along with meals

PERTHANDOVER NB
Shiela and I camped at the tourist center rained most the night and the next day
Lysbeth a wonderful lady came to visit us and then brought us to the Castle Inn and paid for our room for the night also for meals for Shiela and me since I came to NB the people have been so Kind and Generous I dont know the right words to express my gratitude

OCT 20
Shiela and I at Edmundston NB had a slow but pleasant journey down the bike trail from Quebec we walked most of the way the first three days was uphill and the trail is a gravel trail made riding difficult  pulling the trailer
Shiela and I were guests at the home of Claire Landry while we were there we were made to feel right at home our meals were prepared laundry done and all we needed was provided including warmer clothes
I Pray GOD will have many blessings for Claire and her daughter Savanna and the other members of her family

our journey through Quebec was pleasant and quiet we traveled the secondary hwys so we did not pass through the cities we did pass through many small villages the people we met were friendly and polite even though I do not speak French

SHIELA and I stayed  outside QUEBEC CITY  OCT 8 we camped on a vacant lot the night before I decided not to go into the CITY  I would have lost 2or 3 days in the CITY and I did not think I would be able to find a place to stay

We are at a campgrounds  Le refuge du campeur the owner let us stay in a recreation hall so we did not have to set up our tent

we camped at a place called Yamaska  rained all day so we stayed in the tent and slept most of the day Shiela  had helped pull the bike for about 20km so she needed a rest

I missed a turn in the HWY ended up on the ferry so we went for a ride  ended up at a place called Sorel Tracy we are now traveling on HWY 132 east

ST JEROME
did not see a sign welcome to ST JEROME  SHIELA was felling a little disappointed because she did not meet new friends I tried to explain it was because sh was not barking in French  later at the grocery store she met new friends and we were loaded with dog treats and groceries  Thank You Kindly to all for donations

SHIELA and I camped at La chute there was no campgrounds so we camped at a picnic site we had a good rest and a pleasant stay

SHIELA and I got in to HAWKSEBURY  late at night no campgrounds to late to look for a place to camp so we slept in a park downtown I could not set my tent so I slept on a picnic table

we were going to stay at a campgrounds at a place 10 km  back but the fee for camping at LOrignal  community campground was $45  a night I would not have been able to sleep if had payed that much to set my tent for 1 night
I  would walk through HELL on SUNDAY before I would stay in this  GREEDY  community

SHIELA and I spent the night at ROCKLAND we had a good rest and a great day thanks to NATHALIE who drove from OTTAWA to see SHIELA and me felt like a CHRISTMAS day

SHIELA and I are at ARNPRIOR  hope to be in OTTAWA  in 2 days  I cannot travel HWY 17  I have to travel secondary roads not sure how long it will take

PETAWAWA was a disappointment  all my clothes were wet my sleeping bag and blankets were wet  the campgrounds had no laundry service no showers and a 30$ a night fee  could not find laundry service in town we then went to PEMBROKE  got there 10 at night cold and wet  found a motel that let SHIELA in cost extra for SHIELA  no wifi  no movie  channels on tv  could not sleep felt itchy and  felt like I had bugs crawling on me

SHIELA can be seen on facebook at shielastrip or at shielastrip.blogspot.ca  I was locked out of facebook last JAN so a friend set up a new acct in JUNE that I forgot about I thought i was still locked out so I setvup an account in AUGUST  I think there is still an account that i am still locked out of  I now have to try to get back to one account  I think I will give my head a shake and go walking down the road  I  have to take SHIELA to the doggy doc AUG 8 and then we will be leaving on our way east

SHIELA and I AT NORTH BAY not sure of the date  maybe SEPT 3 it was a bit of a work out getting here because of bad road conditions hills and travelling into the wind I walked most of the way  and had to haul SHIELA in the trailer most the way I have to put her on a diet or start eating half her supper we will take a break from the HWY and rest for a while

AUG 12
today we are resting at HEARST  it is cold and raining reminded me of FEB in VICTORIA  when SHIELA and I were trying to stay warm and dry out on the street
AUG 13 we will be back on the road  KAPUSKASING will be our next stop I may stop there and celebrate my birthday I will be 62 on the 13th never thought I would live this long  if I did not have SHIELA  I would likely be back in CHILLIWACK wandering around the streets going to the doctor for my pain medication every month
SHIELA made me quit drinking 3 or 4 years back she just about has my smoking habit done
and now she has me pedaling a bike across CANADA trying to keep me healthy while she rides in the trailer barking

The  HWY from  NIPIGON to LONGLAC was the worst HWY we travelled SHIELA met a young friend while we rested along the road  she has made many young ones happy since we started
